They made this swedish inspired christmas treat story for me. You can see the whole story here.

Makes 35

1 1/4 cups butter, at room temperature
2 cups sugar
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 1/4 cups plain flour
1 teaspoon grated orange zest

  1. Preheat oven to 340F.
  2. Beat butter and sugar until light and creamy.
  3. Stir in cocoa, syrup and salt.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, stirring well between each.
  5. Add flour and orange peel; mix well.
  6. Cover a large baking tray with parchment paper and pour the batter on top.
  7. Bake for about 35 minutes.
  8. The cake is supposed to be a bit sticky.
  9. Cool and press out stars with a cookie cutter.
  10. Dust with a little confectioners' sugar before serving.
