You will need:
gingerbread dough
royal icing recipe from Gingerbread Hipsters


  1. Preheat oven to 370°F.
  2. Draw different sizes of mittens on baking paper and cut out to use as patterns for cookies.
  3. On a floured table, roll out the dough to a thin sheet.
  4. Use a sharp knife to cut out mittens using the patterns.
  5. Bake for 5–12 minutes, depending on the size and thickness.
  6. Let cool.
  7. Decorate with royal icing.
