Day 7: 2014 Sweet Paul Holiday Countdown presented by Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day

Adding the spicy punch of some chili flakes to hot chocolate takes it to a totally different level!

Serves 4

You will need:

5 cups full fat milk

8 ounces good quality dark chocolate

4-5 teaspoon sugar, or more to taste

1/2 vanilla bean, seeds scarped out

2 cinnamon sticks

pinch of red chili flakes (or more if you dare too)

  1. Heat the milk over low heat in a saucepan.
  2. Melt the chocolate in the milk.
  3. Add the sugar and whisk until dissolved.
  4. Add vanilla, cinnamon and chili and let it infuse for 5 minutes without boiling.
  5. Serve in mugs.

TIP:

You can totally serve this with some whipped cream, the cream will take away some of the heat from the chili.
